Chaitra Navratri 2023 Day 6 Maa Katyayni: चैत्र नवरात्रि का छठा दिन मां दुर्गा की छठी शक्ति मां कात्यायनी को समर्पित है. मां दुर्गा के इस स्वरूप का अवतार कात्यायन ऋषि की पुत्री के रूप में हुआ था, इसलिए इन्हें माता कात्यायनी कहा जाता है. पुराणों में कहा गया है कि मां कात्यायनी की पूजा विवाह संबंधी सभी मामलों के लिए अचूक मानी गई है. अगर कोई कुंवारी लड़की इनकी पूजा करती है तो उसको मनचाहा वर मिलता है. धर्म शास्त्रों में ऐसा कहा जाता है कि, जो भी भक्त नवरात्रि के छठे दिन मां की पूजा  करता है तो मां के आशीर्वाद से भक्तों की सभी मनोकामनाएं पूरी होती हैं.

ऐसा है मां का स्वरूप

मां का शरीर सोने की तरह चमकीला है. इनकी चार भुजाएं अस्त्र-शस्त्र से सुसज्जित हैं.  इनके एक हाथ में तलवार, दूसरे में कमल है, दो हाथ वर मुद्रा और अभय मुद्रा में हैं. माता का वाहन सिंह है.  मान्यता है कि गोपियों ने भगवान कृष्ण को पाने के लिए इनकी पूजा की थी, ज्योतिष में इनका संबंध बृहस्पति से माना जाता है.

क्यों पड़ा मां का नाम कात्यायनी 

पुराण के अनुसार, कात्यायन ऋषि के घर उनकी बेटी के रुप में जन्म लेने के कारण ही मां दुर्गा के इस स्वरुप का नाम कात्यायनी पड़ा.  पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, मां कात्यायनी ने महिषासुर का वध किया था. महिषासुर का संहार करने के कारण इन्हें दानवों, असुरों और पापियों का नाश करने वाली देवी महिसासुरमर्दिनी कहा जाता है. 

मां कात्यायनी की पूजा विधि 

चैत्र नवरात्रि के छठे दिन देवी कात्यायनी की पूजा करने के लिए सुबह स्नान के बाद लाल या पीले रंग का कपड़े पहने और मंदिर या पूजा की जगह को गंगाजल से शुद्ध कर लें. इसके बाद गणेश जी और सभी देवी-देवताओं का आह्वान करें. मां को प्रणाम कर उनका ध्यान करें. मां को फल-फूल, कच्ची हल्दी की गांठ, रोली, सिंदूर और शहद अर्पित करें. इसके बाद धूप-दीप जलाकर मां की आरती करें. पूजा के दौरान ये मंत्र 'ऊँ देवी कात्यायन्यै नम: पढ़ें. 

मां का पसंदीदा रंग और भोग

मां कात्यायनी का पसंदीदा रंग लाल है. मां के भोग की बात करतें तो इनको शहद बहुत प्रिय है. मां कात्यायनी को शहद का भोग लगाने से आपकी आकर्षण शक्ति में वृद्धि होती है.

धर्म शास्त्रों में उल्लेख है कि  महिषासुर के अत्याचारों से जब संसार संकट में था, तब देवी कात्यायनी ने उसका वध कर दिया.जैसे ही वह राक्षस महिषासुर के सामने पहुंची, उसने सिंह से खुद को अलग कर लिया था और राक्षस ने एक बैल का रूप धारण किया. फिर देवी उसकी पीठ पर उछल पड़ी. उसने अपने कोमल पैरों से उसके सिर को नीचे धकेला और फिर उसकी गर्दन मरोड़ दी. इसलिए उनका नाम महिषासुरमर्दिनी पड़ा.
